Six Meyers

Joab and Emily married in 1998.
Moved to China in 2007.
Have four kids - Miriam 10, Asa 7, Salome 3 and Silas 1.

We are thankful for a full life that includes raising kids in a global world. Joab works for an American technology company and Emily does a little bit of everything- including zooming around with kids on her electric bike in a city of 21 million people.

Three Peas in Pod

Trying to get all the kids to sleep in one room is...well...interesting. Last night we tried Salome on Asa's bunk and Asa on the floor. The girls slept great- Asa was up at 3 Am saying he could not sleep. So we will try again tonight! The baby woke up at 6:30 AM got off the bed and came to find me! She is loving to be the "big" girl.

Salome has been in a pack in play in the office/guest room/baby room. But with Joab calling early to the USA more and more we needed a way for the office really to be an office! Salome has been napping in the kids room with no problem for a long time so we decided to try and move them all to one room.

Miriam needing "five more minutes" and Salome ready to play.

Miriam awake and pretty :)

This is actually how Asa came to breakfast. With a bear on his head.

And for breakfast? My new passion- homemade sourdough bread! Also potato pancakes and cherry tomatoes!

  1. Kip wants the three of them to all be in a room together. I'll let you figure it out and learn from you!

  3. You go, Mama---that is brave of you! I'm still working on getting the boys in the same room. Speaking of boys...wanted to let you know we are expecting another BOY (!) in Septemeber!!! And yes, this will be our last. ;-)

  4. I did the one child on one side and the other on the other side of the bed when the girls began to sleep together. (not head to head, but head to foot) This gave them enough room, because they were still so small and the bed was still big.
